I genuinely prefer AVP’s character rendition of Weyland’s founder. What they (writers and director) wanted but didn't get was to have a compilation of screens and footage gradually showing the Yutani group buy out and absorb Weyland industries and reverse engineer predator technology and incorporate it culminating in the end screen having a conestoga class starship being the last thing scene. The absolute best they could do as a bridge for this was to have the US spec op’s team deliver the predator tech to the Yutani group.īut they had to rewrite the script set in modern times.
